Please be advised the launch of the Saluting Monash Council will take place at the Shrine of Remembrance Melbourne on Sunday 6 November, more details on this can be obtained from info@salutingmonash.org.au and in short we seek support to obtain approval of the Jerilderie Proposition (Jerilderie in the Riverina is where Sir John Monash went to Primary School): As a salute to all members of the AIF and following on the outstanding contribution of Sir John Monash to State and Nation before, during and after World War 1 and reflecting the fact that Sir John Monash received no Australian Awards or Honours post 11 November 1918, the Prime Minister approve by Government Gazette publication, the posthumous promotion of one step in rank of General Sir John Monash to the rank of Australian Field Marshal, with effect 11 November 1930, one year after Sir John Monash was eventually promoted to the rank of General. NATIONAL COMMITTEE

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FY 15/16 – REMINDER

Gentlemen,

With just 327 membership renewals for FY 16/17 received to date, we are still some way from achieving the 530 financial members we had at the end of last FY.

If you are intending to come on board and support the Association this year, your action on this front would be appreciated.   Should you have misplaced you Membership Renewal Form, a copy is attached.

Three options are available when renewing membership:

  • Complete the Membership Renewal Form, attach a cheque and send it to our Treasurer,
  • Use the information of the Membership Renewal Form to pay by Direct Debit.
  • Access the website, www.otu.asn.au and pay by PayPal.

If you are paying by Direct Debit or PayPal and haven’t updated your personal details in the website, could you please take the time to complete and return the Membership Renewal Form so that we can confirm/amend your details in our database.

It would help if we could receive your renewal by 31 October 2016.

If you are no longer interested in being a member of the Association, please return the Membership Renewal Form, notated accordingly.

Cheers.
