I was saddened to read in the latest Schyvellian the Bill Hindson had passed away. While Bill was not one of my instructors at OTU, I first met him at Canungra where he was the SO2 Trg and I was his SO3. This was during the time when Lt Col John Healy was the Deputy Commandant and Colonel Colin Kahn was the Commandant. When we first moved to Canberra in 1979 after my time at Canungra we lived in the same area as Bill and Catherine and I served on the Hawker P&C Committee with Catherine. During my 20 years in Canberra our paths crossed a number of times either on Anzac Day or other reunions. Bill was a great boss and I enjoyed working with him. Having left Canberra for the Sunshine Coast in 2004 I had lost contact with Bill and other colleagues from those days so I was unaware of his passing. Norm Jensen 2/66.
