50TH ANNIVERSARY

A Happy 50^th Anniversary to all those who commenced their National Service with the First Intake of 1968 on Wednesday, 7 February, 50 years ago today!

Many of OTU Class 1/68 entered the Army on that day. Some First Intake 1968, myself included, did not commence with OTU until Class 2/68.

I would be interested in hearing from any First Intake 1968 who actually commenced OTU with Class 2/68.

Monthly Lunch – Wed 14 Feb 2018

Dear All,

This is an early warning order.

We had a great start to the year with 14 stalwarts turning up to start the year off in style.

To avoid any potential confusion, our next lunch is on at 12.30 on Wed 14 Feb in the bistro on the ground floor of The RACV Club, 501 Bourke St Melbourne.

Remember, just tell the doormen that you are on our Group table, booked under Cooper and move straight to the Bistro on the right.

We are blessed this month with a strong contingent of 1/65 “The Originals”; Mike Delves, Tony Trevithick, Warwick Sellers and Bob Irvine are all starters perhaps more to come? 3/69 welcome any and all to swell the numbers:)

As always smart casual attire, good humour, tales of daring, golf lies, exaggerated fishing stories and about $35 will seal it.

I will ask Ian Kelly to distribute to the Vic membership at large in a week or so.

Acceptances please by COB Mon 12 Feb would be appreciated.

There will be a National and State Executive Meeting after lunch. Time and location to be confirmed

Victorian Chapter March Luncheon

Dear Scheyvillian, the Victorian Chapter will be holding a

luncheon for members, wives, partners and friends at the Fairfield

Boathouse on Wednesday 21^st March. Full details are on the flyer

Attached.

This will be our first function for 2018 and , please remember that

annual dinner has been moved from the traditional June date to

October in order to cater for those who move to warmer climates

In Winter.

We look forward to seeing you at Fairfield . It promises to be a

fine get together.

OTU Victorian Luncheon 21 March 2108
