EMAIL TO ALL OTU

Gents

While we are all in ‘Lock Down’ and mostly restricted to our homes, many of us are tidying up things that have been hanging around ‘on the to-do list’.

Perhaps this is a good time to do some things for the OTU Association!

Photographs:
There are hundreds of photographs on the OTU Website and many of them are un-named. Perhaps have a look at your Senior Class, your Class
and your Junior Class ‘Galleries’ and make a ‘Comment’ if you know the names of anyone in the photographs.

Memorabilia:
For the first six classes each had a Church Parade Booklet, both PD and RC, and a Graduation Parade Card. From 1967 onwards each class also had a Graduates Book.

The association is still looking for a copy of:
4/71 Church Parade Booklet (PD)
4/72 Church Parade Booklet (PD)

For the RC booklets we only hold 3/66, 4/69, 4.71, 2/72, 3/72 and 4/72.
Consequently, the association needs all other Class RC Church Parade Booklets.

We also need the 3/71 and 4/70 Graduation Parade Card.

Original or Scanned accepted!

BOC Structure and ‘Fathers and Sons’:
The Editor is looking for copies of the General Instruction for each class, so that the project to put the BOC (Battalion of Officer Cadets) structure,
that includes the ‘Fathers and Sons’ allocation, can be placed on the Website.
If you have a General Instruction for your March In, please contact The Editor to see if he hasn’t already received a copy.

Looking forward to a good response!

Cancellation Victorian Annual Dinner

Dear Victorian Scheyvillians, I am writing to advise that the Victorian annual dinner, scheduled for 12th June, has been cancelled. This will come as no surprise with the current medical advice and restrictions likely to extend far beyond this date – especially for those in our age group.

Depending on the circumstances, consideration may be given to rescheduling the event much later into the year – but only if this poses no risk whatsoever to our membership and is fully in keeping with all government Coronavirus dictates. Health remains our highest priority.
