I have received the following email from Geoff Richardson (1/70). Please read and take action as requested.

Hi Ian,

Geoff Richardson here, Class 1/70, at Scheyville with a warning order that I would like you to make available to members of classes 4/69, 1/2/3/ 70 to 1/71.

Lt Col Dick Flint was Chief Instructor at Scheyville, Officer Training Unit, Oct ’69 to May ’71, and passed in May 2021. Across this period he was a significant person in the lives of many young National Servicemen. Permission has been given by Richard Flint, Dick’s son, that interested cadets meet and share their “Dick Flint Stories”. The meet will be held at Currumbin RSL, on the Gold Coast, on Friday 15 July at 1030hrs. Members of the Flint family have been invited to attend along with OTU cadets who can make it on that day.

Scheyvillian members are asked to respond to Geoff Richardson, email ( gnsrichardson@bigpond.com or mob 0405715267) by 8 July.

I would appreciate it if you could put this invitation out to the above classes. You may wish to send it to all OTU members, as a point of interest.
