Lord and Lady Somers Camps – January 2016

Dear Scheyvillian,

The OTU Association will again be sponsoring young gentlemen and ladies (16 – 17 years of age), to January’s respective Lord and Lady Somers “Big Camps”. We have been invited to witness first-hand the different activities and to join in with the “groupers” as they are known, and the staff, for lunch.

The days for doing so are – Lord Somers 11th, 12th and 13th of January and the Lady Somers 18th, 19th and 20th.

Dress is casual, shorts and sun hat being essential.

I am firstly calling for those who would like to take up their invitation to visit one of the camps and secondly, to let me know which day would best suit. By so doing we can make suitable travel arrangements and coordinate our attendance with the LS&PH people.

I would be grateful if you could let me know by no later than Friday 18 December.

It’s always a good day and well worth the visit. Further details are given below.

Kind regards,

Frank Miller

The OTU Song

Gentlemen,

At the National Committee Meeting last week the various versions of the OTU Song were discussed.

As per The Scheyvillian 2 of 2012, the oldest printed version of the OTU Song has been provided by John Caine (1/67).

The committee has decided that this should be the correct and only version of the OTU Song used by the Association at its various functions.

The words can be found on the website under  "The Association"  tab of the home screen (after logging in).

Regards,

Roger Nation
