OTU VICTORIAN TENNIS DAY

Dear Scheyvillian, on Sunday 3rd April the Victorian Chapter will be

holding its 2016 Annual Tennis Day at the Kooyong  Lawn Tennis Club.

This is always a fun event and is open to any one – irrespective tennis

day on superb  grass courts. They will all  be made most welcome.

At the end of the competition we will be adjourning to the clubhouse

for an informal dinner. Those who do not play tennis are invited to

come and enjoy this part of the day. It would be great to see you there.

Details are below.

OTU VIC. Warning Order

OTU ASSOCIATION – VICTORIAN CHAPTER

                                Warning Order

        Forthcoming Events – 22 and 25 April  2016

Dear Scheyvillian, I am writing to let you know of two important dates in this year’s calendar of events.

Annual Dinner

Firstly, as the Class 1/70 Reunion is to be held in Melbourne over the ANZAC Day long weekend we will be holding the Annual Dinner a little earlier this year on Friday 22nd April. By doing so they will be able to join us for this splendid event.

It will again be held at the William Angliss Institute of TAFE, 550 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne at 6.30pm (1830 hrs!) for 7.00pm (1900 hrs).

ANZAC Day Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Remembrance

Secondly, we will once more be parading under the OTU Banner in the ANZAC Day March to the Shrine of Remembrance. Following this we will adjourn to the Toorak Services Club for lunch. Wives/partners are also welcome at the latter.

Could you please put these two dates in your calendars.

Further details will be made known as they come to hand.

Frank Miller

Chairman, Victorian Chapter OTU Association.

Spirit of ANZAC Experience

Scheyvillians,

The Spirit of Anzac Experience (SACE) opens in Melbourne at Jeff’s Shed from Mon 8 Feb, go to web site for free tickets:

http://www.spiritofanzac.gov.au/

This is a perfect activity for a pre-lunch two-hour visit then head to the RACV Club in Bourke Street, for the Victorian Chapter monthly lunch, (See the OTU website for details).

The last shell fired at Gallipoli and much more is on display. In many ways the crown jewels of the AWM. I am an Envoy for the project and tickets are required through the web site but are free.

Cheers

Tim Fischer
