Dear Association Members,
I am pleased and proud to announce that two Scheyvillians have been
recognised in today’s Australia Day Honours.
1. Professor Colin Chapman (1/71) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM)
“For significant service to pharmacy and pharmaceutical science and research. education and practice”.
2. Major Neil Leckie RFS (Retd) (3/68) has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM)
“For service to veterans, and to the community through a range of roles.”
We are all directly aware of some of Neil’s work through his producing three fine editions of our magazine
“The Scheyvillian” each year and his Association Executive role as Memorabilia Officer.
If anyone knows of other Scheyvillians receiving awards this Australia Day could you please let us know.
