Scheyvillians
As of 30 June 2026, the OTU National Committee has ceased operation. What has changed? To the membership nothing has changed. Life goes on under Chapter arrangements as it has for decades.
The OTU Website remains active, however it is now open to all Scheyvillians, regardless of whether they were a Financial Member or an Unfinancial Member in 2024/25 (and therefore in 2025/26).
The Scheyvillian will also continue! Both of these activities will fall under the remit of the Victorian Chapter.
The second edition of The Scheyvillian is normally produced for distribution by the start of August. Articles are requested to be forwarded to the Editor some three weeks in advance of production.
Consequently, articles for The Scheyvillian 2 of 2026 are requested to be sent to The Editor by 12 July 2026.
As usual, we are looking for articles on recently held, or upcoming, Class Reunions, articles for ‘Whatever Happened To’ on Scheyvillians, ‘What Scheyvillians Did’ or ‘What Scheyvillians Do’, Book Reviews or other articles relating to the involvement of Nashos or OTU Graduates.
As readers will have noted in recent editions, we have lost a lot of Scheyvillians in the last three years – a catch-up of 45 ‘Vales’ was recently sent to the Webmaster for entering onto the Website. If you know of a Scheyvillian who has died, please look at the Website’s Deceased List and see if the man is on the list and if a Vale has been written. If the person is not on the list, or does not have a Vale written, please contact the Editor.
A last reminder of the mixed lunch to be held at Scheyville on Saturday 15 August 2026. This will be a great day, and maybe for many of we ‘old blokes’ a last chance to visit our spiritual home. Refer to previous emails sent from the OTU Website.
