Brett Wild was the Chairman of Hunter ANZAC Memorial Limited (HAML) and later TaskForce Veteran (TFV) and is the man who had the vision to ensure that the Scheyville Site was restored so that the National Service era Officer Training Unit could be remembered for producing 1,881 2nd Lieutenants for the Australian Army between 1965 and 1973.
Some weeks back Brett had a severe stroke. Unfortunately, he did not recover and passed away last week.
Brett’s funeral will be held on Friday 26 June at 1300 hours at the Singleton Civic Centre, 12 Queen Street, Singleton.
This is definitely an event where your (full-size) medals should be worn on your jacket, with a collar and tie preferred).
The OTU Association looks forward to a good roll-up at the funeral to show support for Brett and his vision and what he has achieved.
