Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1945. Emigrated to Oz in 1964, volunteered for NS in 1966. Served in Vietnam 1969-1970, Indonesia 1973, PNG 1975-1978, Attended Army Staff College 1981. Promoted LtCol 1984, Resigned 1986. Self employed 1990 as a Project Manager, Trainer, Consultant. Written and published over 50 articles on a wide range of subjects. Writing for 7 x Military magazines. Married for 43 years to the girl I met in Vietnam. Both daughters served in the Army (one with 7 x operational tours in Iraq and Afghanistan totaling 41 months on operational service). Now retired and living half+ the year in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
