OTU VICTORIAN CHAPTER - PARTICIPATION IN 2011 ANZAC DAY MARCH TO
THE SHRINE OF REMEMBRANCE.
Dear Victorian Scheyvillian, the OTU Association will, once again, be parading as a separate unit in this year's ANZAC Day march to Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance. To those of us who did not serve overseas or, whose units do not join in the occasion, we now have an opportunity to be part of this great Australian tradition.
We would be keen indeed to have you join us.
The details are as follows: -
Dress. Suit and tie (preferably the OTU tie if you still have yours).
Medals. Please wear all medals you have been awarded.
Assembly. We are to assemble ready to march off by 1100 hrs at the St Pauls side of Flinders Street on the Eastern side of Swanston Street. RSL Marshals will direct you to the precise location. Our contingent will be behind the National Servicemen’s Association. (Please note: the assembly point is different from previous years.)
Parking. We are advised that car parking is available at the Arts Centre
Carpark. It is recommended that medals be displayed when entering as a
discount may be made available.
After the March. We will be having get together after the march. This will be held at the Toorak Services Club,72 Clenden Rd,Toorak (ph9827 6424) and will take the form of a sandwich lunch. Drinks will be available at bar prices. Ladies are welcome.
The march represents a great opportunity for our Association and we would urge all who can to participate. Please let your OTU Classmates and friends who shared the Scheyville experience know of this. They would be most welcome.
If you will be coming and are, or are not, attending the luncheon, please
