The Duntroon Society was founded in 1980 and has since undergone a number of changes in Charter and expansion of eligibility requirements for membership. In late 2008, the Royal Military College of Australia Association Incorporated was established to provide legal and administrative cover for a number of different entities including the Duntroon Society. As a result of consolidation of a number of Trusts and other income sources, it was decided that subscriptions would no longer be collected for the Society. Further details of the Society can be found on our web-site at www.dunsoc.com
As you will be aware, RMC is now the sole source of officers for the Australian Army and has become the repository for the history and traditions of all predecessor establishments. The Society already includes members who graduated from OCS, WRAAC OCS, OTU and various officer qualifying courses but we would like to increase our membership to better support the College and to better facilitate social contact between alumni of these institutions.
From July 2008, all graduates from RMC automatically become members of the Society unless they ”Opt-Out“. All those who hold or have held a commission in the Army are eligible to become members by simply ”Opting-In“. To ”Opt-In“ simply complete the detail shown below and forward it to me at
